Not all leather is the same and not all the tools are perfect. We will cover what kinds of leather is out there, what are the uses for the different kinds of leather, how to choose leather, and provide links and access to where you can source good quality leather. We also cover the many tools and their uses in leather craft and talk about how to use them properly to achieve the best possible results whatever you decide to make in the future.

We will cover a small part of the design process and talk about how things are put together so that you can design your own project. We will cover how to make your own template and the best ways to go about that.

We will focus on what kinds of dyes and finishing products are availalbe and how to use them. We will dye our project and I will teach you how to achieve the best results.

We will devote a large portion of our time learning to saddle stitch by hand. It is probably one of most important skills to learn and will add a level of professionalism to your project that goes way beyond what a machine can do. We will have plenty of time to practice before moving on to completing the final project.

This is where we will take everything you have learned up to this point and put it to use in stitching together your project as well as finishing the edges so that you leave with a product you can proud of and the necessary skills and knowledge to make your own products.
